The Vidalia Housing Authority (VHA) is a public entity established in 1957 to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for low-income families within the City of Vidalia and Toombs County, Georgia. The Authority operates under the guidelines and funding of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Although created by a resolution of the City of Vidalia, the Vidalia Housing Authority functions as an independent agency, separate from the City government.

The Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor of Vidalia and is administered by an Executive Director (ED) who oversees daily operations. Today, the Vidalia Housing Authority owns and manages 110 units of public housing and employs a dedicated team of five staff members committed to serving the community and maintaining quality housing opportunities for its residents.
